NEW IN: H&M STUDIO SS16

Some of you might have seen it on my Instagram page, but last weekend I became the proud owner of this amazing H&M Studio knit cardigan. I couldn't wait to wear it and combined it with a simple  white V-neck T, a skinny blue jeans and my low white leather All-Star Converse to get that casual sporty look.

H&M studio is available online or in stores, it retails at €34,99 in Belgium.

How would you style this cardigan?

Jane Iredale X Angelique Vandewinkel

Last Tuesday I got invited by Marnix & Ally, an Antwerp based press agency, to the launch of Angelique Vandewinkel’s collaboration with jane iredale.

jane iredale is the first make up brand that launched a complete line of mineral cosmetics  in to the world.  All the products are multipurpose as they nourish and protect the skin (SPF). They are also hypoallergenic and dermatologist tested. A big plus in my book!

Angelique, a well know Belgian makeup artist, discovered jane iredale through one of her clients. She asked her how she got such a nice glow. Turns out it was the jane iredale pressed powder. Angelique was triggered and she contacted jane iredale, the rest is history. Ever since she’s been working with them and last week she revealed 3 makeup sets with her favourite's for every woman.

She created these make up sets for woman on the go, those who say that they don’t have time to put on makeup in the morning, woman who like minimalistic makeup, but still want to look the best they can!

Happy Brights, perfect for those with blond hair:

  • In touch creme blush (connection)
  • Pure pressed eyeshadow (triple - brown sugar)
  • Brown Sugar playon lip crayon (blissful)

Happy Browns, created for woman with brown hair:
  • Pure pressed blush (Mocha)
  • Pure pressed eyeshadow (dawn)
  • Just kissed lip plumper (L.A.)

Happy Deluxe, A must have for everyone:

  • Concealor (enlighten 1)
  • Pure gloss lipgloss (raspberry)
  • Eye pencil (black/brown)
  • So-Bronze 3
  • PureLash lenghtening mascare (jet black)
  • PureLash extender and conditioner

Every makeup set provides the products to create a very easy and “no makeup” makeup look.  They are created to make you look more vibrant without an overdose of makeup in just a blink of an eye!

This wasen't my first introduction to jane iredale, I already use the pressed powder foundation in combination with the pommist spray. I'm very eager to try all these products and to get to know the brand even better. If all the products are like the pressed powder then I'm in for a treat!
The 3 makeup sets are available at Angelique's webshop, they retail at €75 for the Happy Brights and the Happy Browns and €150 for the Happy Deluxe.

(Re)Decorating

Recently I realized that I’m already living on my own for 4 years… time flies!

When I moved in to my apartment, I didn’t have much money left to decorate it completely how I wanted. I made the decision to invest more in my living room area (and off course lot’s of closets in my dressing) than in my bedroom. I bought a nice and comfy, not too expensive, bed & some night lamps and that was it. I got an old drawer and mirror from my parents, and got some fabric in a discount store to create curtains. After 4 years it’s time to finally (re)decorate the bedroom ! I called in the help of my friend A, who has an eye for decorating, and we started browsing in what would suit my black! bed and grey walls.

On the wish list?

  • New curtains
  • A desk (I found out that I really need a small desk area) + chair
  • Re-vamping my old drawer or buy a new one
  • Wall art
  • A rug
  • Pillows
  • New bed sheets

Turns out everything we like isn’t easy to get in Belgium. The only option was to go online and start browsing the world wide web for affordable options. First things first I started with searching for curtain fabric, with a nice pattern and most of all AFFORDABLE!

After plenty of e-mailing and looking for several hours in the internet I stumbled upon the Onlinefabricstore.net . They had the kind of pattern I liked in the color I wanted. Only, ordering online without seeing and touching the fabric in real life? This made me hesitate! Luckily for me Onlinfabricstore.net offers you the possibility to order a sample of the fabric of your choice at €1,68 a piece. Perfect for when you are doubting which pattern would suit your room best!

Here’s a sneak peak of the patterns that I ordered:

I hope these will turn out great so I can order my curtain fabric from them.

How about you? Would you order your fabric online?
