La Mer - The Reparative Skintint

"Far beyond a BB, light years past a CC”
… This was the introduction La Mer gave when they launched their latest Skin reparative tint to the beauty world this year!

Ici Paris XL was giving a 21% discount to their customers on all products, so I caved and decided  to buy the skin tint.

As the name already mentions it is just a tint! If your looking for good coverage this isn’t for you. When you just want a hint of color and you love a fresh skin, I know I do ( especially in the summer),  than this is perfect for you! The skin tint comes in a range of 4 different colors. I opted for  #02 LIGHT .

La Mer Skin reparative tint is powered by deep-sea red algae which has the ability to reduce the appearance of pores, lines and wrinkles, and generate a smoother and plumper surface. The La Mer’s famous Miracle Broth is also added to the skin tint. It is created from nutrient-rich sea kelp infuses the skin with energy, boosting the natural healing process. Lime Tea Concentrate helps the skin protect against external aggressors, and has anti-aging properties. These key active ingredients are effectively delivered deep into the dermal layers by Deconstructed Waters present in the mix. SPF30 PA+++ protects the skin from sun damage.

The first time I used it was “horrible”, I was way to generous and used too much! Uber shiny face all the way! You just need a tiny amount to cover you whole face. When you apply it you’ll see an instant healthy glow. I’ve applied it with my Sigma F80 brush and with the beauty blender and both work very well. The product is really easy to blend out, it’s a very light weight formula, which is rare for a product with an SPF 30. Another plus is that it doesn’t crease in any fine lines or wrinkles, it stays smooth all day long.

La Mer Skin Reparative Tint is becoming a staple for this summer. The perfect product for an instant glowing, flawless yet natural look.

At €80 for 40 ml this isn’t a cheap product, but keep in mind this might be a great affordable option to get introduced to the La Mer brand without breaking the bank to much! What do you think of this La Mer Skin Reparative Tint?
La Mer Skin Reparative Tint is for sale at IciParis Xl and at Parfuma.

A scarf ring is a very neglected piece of jewelry, but ever so handy. They come in many designs and colors, from different brands.

I,myself, I own this Hermès Régate scarf ring and I must say it changed my life! First there was the Hermès Carré that came in to my life as a birthday present from my lovely girlfriends. Unfortunately my mom had a rather bad experience with her first Hermès Carré (she lost her Carré whilst wearing it!) I was so afraid of losing mine that I didn't dare to wear it that much...Enter the Hermès scarf ring.

On one of my shoppingtrips I decided to visit the Hermès store and take a look at the new Carré designs. Whilst I was looking I noticed that the SA was wearing her scarf with this particular ring. She explaind to me that they are desgined to keep your scarf all tied up so you can't loos it. I NEEDED THIS! And so it happened, I bought myself and my mom (her birthday was coming up) a Régate scarf ring. The Régate can be used in different ways so you don't need to wear your scarf always in the same way. I use it everytime when I wear my Hermès Carré and I've never lost it once ;-) Mission completed!

If you own silk scarfs definitly take a closer look into a scarf ring, it will very much change your life.

I can't remember how much they costed when I bought them, but on the current Hermès website this model, named the Régate, is priced at: €145 or  $175 .

Do you own a scarf ring?

Let me introduce to you: Chanel Chance Eau Tendre. This must be, after Coco Mademoiselle, my favourite Chanel Fragrance ever! The perfume contains notes of Grapefruit, Quince, Hyacinth, Jasmine Absolute, Iris Absolute, Amber, Cedarwood, White Musk. Very florally and girly, my kind of fragrance!

And then the question that is burning on you lips: why on earth did she buy a hairmist of this fragrance? Well ladies & gents because I love knowing that my hair smells incredible! I always have perfect smelling shampoo hair the first day I wash it, but on day 2: bye bye great shampoo smell and in with the hairmist J  You must think I’m crazy to spray perfume on to my hair, won’t it be damaging? No, because the Chanel Hairmist includes castoroil, this will make sure that your hair is moisturized during the day.

According to Chanel a hairmist is the finishing touch after your fragrance layering ritual. That extra “oomph”. On the plus side this bottle (35ml) is the perfect handbag size.

To be honest, a hairmist isn’t something that you really need in your life,  but when you return from a restaurant visit and you have the idea that the oder has even gotten into your hair, it is a great extra. Spray it generously  (the scent is very subtle) over your hair et voila, lovely Chanel hair ;-)

Chanel Chance Eau Tendre hairmist is available at Ici Paris Xl€ 34,90 for 35ml

If you like to shop online, like me, I bought my Chanel Hairmist with a discount code from the site SNIPSNIP. They offer several discounts on multiple brands/stores on a regular basis (it’s free J), so you might want to take a look on their website and score an awesome discount code when you shop online!

Will you be adding a hairmist in to your fragrance ritual?

Bumble & Bumble Invisible Oil

Last week you could find me in sunny Barcelona. Enjoying the lovely weather, the culture, the shops and just relaxing. After 2 years of no holidays I needed one! :-)
Off course this was the perfect excuse to get me some travel size products, enter Bumble and Bumble Invisible Oil Travel Set.

The set contains:

  • Invisible oil shampoo
  • Invisible oil conditioner
  • Invisible oil primer

Let me just start by telling how amazing these products smell. Lightly floral yet luxurious at the same time. Why did I opted for the invisible oil line ? I was using a lot of thickening products for my hair and with all the heat it got really dry, I needed my hair to get healthy again. In this line Bumble & Bumble added six oils in each product: Coconut Oil, Argan Oil, Macadamia Nut Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Safflower Seed Oil and Grapeseed Oil. The invisbible oil line is known as lightweight, non-greasy yet thoroughly nourishing.  Oh and all 3 products are sulphate free! This sounds promising, no? After washing it and using the conditioner my hair was very soft and manageable, normally I need to use a product to detangle, but that wasn’t necessary after using these.  I spritzed the primer, who protects against heat and UV, on to my whole hair and started to blow-dry. I must say my hair was very shiny again, lovely! Only downside, but that’s practically with every hair product I use, after a good night sleep my hair is still soft and shiny, but it lacks in volume. As said that’s just a personal problem, I don’t often have the chance to wake up with perfect hair.

In my opinion the most promising product in this set is the primer. Not only does this lightweight spray in product protect the hair against heat and the sun rays but it also de-tangles, tames fly away hairs, combats frizz and can prevent hair breakage too. Think of it as a leave in conditioner that does it all. Again it is laden with hair oils and light weight.

This travel set was perfect for giving the Bumble and Bumble range a try. As much as I liked them, for me the prices are too high to buy a full bottle of the shampoo and the conditioner. However if your hair is in need of a little pick me up once in a while I recommend you to buy this travel set and to use it as a ‘healing cure’ for your hair.

You can find all the Bumble and Bumble products at Cosmeticary.

Is your hair in need of a pick me up? Do you use Bumble and Bumble?

Draper James By Reese Witherspoon

Whenever a celebrity comes with a clothing line I’m always a bit skeptic. Draper James by Reese Witherspoon however caught my attention.  She started this line to honor her Southern roots (which is definitely noticeable in the clothes) and decided to name it after her grandparents: Dorothea Draper and William James Witherspoon.  The clothing is tending to be a little bit more expensive, but everything is very pretty and you’ll find some unique fabric choices. Draper James isn’t only about clothes, they also offer accessories and even home decor.

Here are a few of my favorite Draper James items:

After my Barcelona holidays and the sales in Belgium, my bank account is in desperate need of a NO BUY AUGUST! You all know what that means? I can’t buy anything for myself during the month of August… Hopefully by posting this on my blog I will be strong enough not to buy anything! (Won’t be easy I already know it!)

Hereby a sneak peak overview of my always growing wishlist :

Do you ever have a NO BUY MONTH ?
