Mini Handbags

Summer is near – time for the MINI handbags to appear.

After the oversized handbag trend, now a days it’s all about the mini!
And what’s not to love about a mini –sized handbag, the long shoulder strap, the compact size and most important  my favorite designers hopped on the mini-wagon! About all the designer handbags are available in a mini version, CUTNESS OVERLOAD!

I’m still on the hunt for that perfect mini bag. Oh and in case you didn’t notice, I would like to find a pink one for the summer ;-)

What are your toughts on mini handbags?

Real vs Steal

The Louis Vuitton Neverfull bag, one of the most versatile bags in my collection.

It’s an everyday bag, casual but yet still chic. Perfect for travelling, work, …. The possibilities are endless. I own this bag for about 4 years now and the prices just kept on increasing. Louis Vuitton added a mini pochette on the inside of the bag (as seen on the photo) and that's why the bags have gotten so expensive.

Because not everyone can afford a designer handbag I found this “STEAL” on the ZARA website.
It isn’t available in as much colours as the Louis Vuitton Neverfull Epi (10 colours), but still they have 4 options (pink, silver, black and taupe).

What do you girls think? Do you opt for the real thing or the steal? J

Oatmeal pancakes

It’s been a while since I’ve blogged a recipe, but here we go!
Lately I jumped on the oatmeal band wagon. I never knew what I could eat as a healthy breakfast (I’m lactose intolerant) but out of the blue I decided to “try” oatmeal! Because of my lactose intolerance I needed a milk-replacement and opted for Smooth Soy & Rice milk. My daily overnight oats are delish! But on Sunday I like to have a little extra. Hello oatmeal pancakes!
The recipe is really easy...

For 12 pancakes (4 persons) you need:
  • 250 gr oatmeal (blended)
  • 400 à 500 ml of milk, the one you like J
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp of sweetner
  • 2 tsp bakingpowder
  • A pinch of salt
Preparation:
  • Mix the oatmeal really fine in a blender.
  • Separate the eggs, beat the egg white and keep the yolk for later
  • Mix the milk, the yolk, the sweetner, the baking powder , the salt and the mixed oatmeal  together until you get a fluffy batter. Let this rest for a while.
  • Fold the egg white into the batter.
  • Time to bake your pancakes!
Only 308 kcal for 3 pancakes ;-)

You can add anything you like as a topping, I have a sweet tooth and chose for agave syrup.

Bon appétit!

Chanel price increase 2015

GLAMOUR GIRLS BE WARNED!

It was just a matter of time, but now it's official. On April 8th of 2015 Chanel will be increasing there prices. The prices of the classic flap, the 2.55 and the boy bag will increase between 20% and 30%.
The rest of Chanels product range will receive the new prices till the end of the year.

This is just insane, it's the second high price increase in 2 years time. The last one dates from April/May 2014, this was also an increase of 20%. I mean at least 40% in 2 years time? WOW!

Why are they doing this? They want to streamline the pricing in Europe and China.

Some other bad rumours that are going on is that Chanel will be copying the Hermès strategy and will soon offer a very limited supply of the classic flap, the 2.55 and the Boy bag. You'll need to register yourself on the waiting list in order to buy a bag.

“We want to focus on customers who are seduced by the brand, who are seduced by our creativity, by our know-how and our finishing, and not just the price differential” says Bruno Pavlovsky, President of Fashion at Chanel.

Another reason for the price increase could be a planned entry into e-commerce.

The price increase is deffinitly happening, the waiting list is still a rumour. If you still like to pursue the dream of owning a classic Chanel be quick or keep on saving because prices will keep on increasing :(

Sundaypost: Time to relax

Sunday is the only day in the week that I have time to pamper myself. Nothing beats waking up on a Sunday morning and taking a nice long and relaxing shower (I don't have a bath, otherwise a bath would be in order).

After my shower I'd like to use my Tory Burch body lotion just. I'm in love with this fragrance and on special occasions and sunday's I use the lotion as well as the perfume, to give an extra boost to the smell.

I'm running a head at this moment! After the lotion it's time for my glamglow mask, depending on how my skin is doing I choose 1 of the 3 well known Glamglow masks. Leave it on untill it's dry (about 15-20 minutes) then rinse my face with some water.

Time to hydrate my face to get trough the day. First I apply the Environ toner, followed by the Environ C-quence eye cream and the AVST 1 moisturizer.

Depending if I need to go out on sunday I'll put on some make up, otherwise my skin will stay make-up free for the day! I get dressed and to finish it off I use my Tory Burch perfume. Oh I love those Sunday mornings....

Do you girls have a Sunday morning routine?

Barcelona

Yesterday we enjoyed or first "spring" moment. I went for a long walk in the woods and enjoyed the sun to the fullest. If it was up to me spring/summer could start immediately.

This summer I'll be heading to Barcelona! Perfect vacation city, you have it all: beach, sun, city, musea, shops, restaurants, bars,... perfect for my short break.

I would like to ask for you help, it's been a while that I've been to Barcelona and would like to know the "hotspots" of the moment. My mom is accompanying me and she's never been to Barcelona, the touristic stuff will be on the agenda, but I'm looking for more non touristcs places to visit.

Any good reccommandations?

All of your tips are more than welcome!

Thx for the help :-)

Rainpharma: MOOD

Every winter I get that feeling that I'm not fit anymore, I'm stressed out (for me it's the bussiest time of the year),... winter blues as we call it.
Last year I was thinking about getting some extra daily vitamines and I stumbled on MOOD from Rainpharma. I liked it so much that I restarted it this year.

In my experience after a day or 2 Mood begins to work and I feel fitter than ever! Just what I need in a stressful and busy period at work!

What is Mood?

Each box contains a treatment for 14 days. You need to drink 1 bottle each morning with your breakfast (I like to store it in the fridge, tastes better when served cold).

1 bottle contains:

  • Carnitine - involved in converting fats into energy, and improves endurance.
  • Gingseng and Rhodiola Rosea: help to relieve stress and tiredness, support physical and mental efforts.
  • L-Glutamine: is involved in supplying energy and helps to build up muscles. It's also a powerful detoxifier.
  • Vitamin B1: helps the metabolism, nervous system and psychological functions to work normally.
  • Vitamines B2,B3 and B6: they also help to reduce tiredness and play a roll in maintaining normal red blood cells.
  • Inositol and Choline: they help the body to metabolise fat normally and to maintain normal liver function

The product is gluten-free and contains no fats, sugars, artificial colours or flavourings.
This said it's only 1.58 kcal per dose :-)

Mood will be perfect for you if :

  • You need extra energy
  • You have to deal with stressful situations
  • You have to perform difficult physical or mental tasks
  • Need extra support during a slimmin diet
