Sarah Chapman review

When you follow some british bloggers they all mention 1 person: Sarah Chapman. Sarah is a well known facialist in London who launched her own signature product range in 2008 and has won various awards including Best New Skincare Brand at the CEW Awards 2009. After everybody was raving about her "overnight facial" I really got curious and ordered the Sarah Chapman Skinesis Starter Kit on

There are 4 products in the starterkit:

Ultimate cleanse
Dynamic Defence SPF 15
Overnight Facial
Eye Recovery

Ultimate cleanse starts off as a balm but once you start massaging it around your face it melts to oil so you're able to give yourself a good facial massage for as long as you want. The balm/oil works it's way deep into pores and removes impurities then when you add water it changes to a milk. Ultimate Cleanse is full of anti-ageing ingredients as well as ingredients to boost collagen production. It leaves my skin feeling smooth, soft and completely clean. I've just been using a flannel to remove it from my face. It's really a lovely cleanser, but I don't know if I would spend that amount of money(40£ for 100ml) on the full size cleanser.

Vitamin A, Vitamin E, Dermaxyl™ Oligopeptide, White Lily, Coenzyme Q10, Borage Oil, Baobab Oil, Melon Oil, Rosehip, Jojoba Oil, Abyssinian Oil, Meadowfarm Seed Oil.

Dynamic Defence SPF 15: I'm still on the look of the perfect moisturiser, I haven't found it yet. My skin is at an awkward age, I'm 27 and I need to hydrate but also prevent wrinkels! I'm at an age now where I'm starting to notice fine lines (only around my eyes but I want to prevent them appearing on the rest of my face) so I'll need anti-ageing products that aren't to heavy. Trying to find a product to target fine lines without over stimulating my skin and causing spots is almost impossible. According to Sarah Chapman the Dynamic Defence SPF 15  protects from UV and environmental damage. Improves the appearance of clarity and restores the skin’s natural moisture balance. Revolutionary peptides plump the skin and increase collagen production, giving skin back its firmness and elasticity. Improves acne marking and calms irritated skin. Our signature complex of skin brighteners lightens uneven dark pigmentation and gives skin a radiant glow. At this moment I've tried it for a couple of days and haven't had a spot yet (because of the SPF it's a bit of a thicker cream). Perhaps I might have found the perfect moisturiser?

SPF 15 UVA/UVB, Vitamin A, Coenzyme Q10, Tyrostat™ 11, Emblica™, Bearberry, Photosomes, Beta Glucan, Vitamin E, Shea Butter, Mango Butter, Abyssinian Oil, Iris, Rose and Jasmine, also contains Oxybenzone.

Overnight Facial: this is Sarah's cult product that everyone is raving about! But I'm not really sure if I'm in to it that much. It's an oil that you need to apply over the face and the neck. I was afraid that the oil would be to heavy for me, but actually it's not. I haven't woken up with any spots or rash. The one thing that does irritate me is the smell! I just don't know but I don't like it and it'll last for a pretty long time after applying the serum. The morning after using the overnight facial my skin will look very plumped, smooth and rejuvenated (at the website they mention that the serum also helps with stressed skin) I won't use this every night, but it's a nice extra to give your skin a little treat.

Vitamin A, VCIP Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Lipobrite®HCA-4, Coenzyme Q10, Renovage™, Dermaxyl™Oligopeptide, Alpha Lipoic Acid, Abyssinian Oil, Meadowfoam Seed Oil, Hemp Seed Oil, Melon Oil, Baobab Oil, Jojoba, Jasmine, Rose.

Eye Recovery: My eye area is my main concern. I'm starting to see fine lines, and it irritates me! Eye Recovery contains an ingredient called Syn-Ake peptide which creates a botox like effect to instantly plump and smooth fine lines. My ears pricked up when I heard Botox like effect but I was sceptical. Honestly I haven't seen any difference with my Bobbi Brown extra repair eyecream. I'll need to test this product a little bit more before I can write an honest review on it. Eye Recovery can also be used around the lip area and between the eyes.

Matrixyl™ Pentapeptide, Eyeliss™ Tetrapeptide, Syn®-Ake Dipeptide, Haloxyl™ Oligopeptide & Tetrapeptide, Syn®-Coll Tripeptide, Renovage™, DMAE, Hyaluronic Filling Spheres™, Unirepair T43, VCIP Vitamin C, Alpha Lipoic Acid, Pentavitin®, Coenzyme Q10, Vitamin E, Vitamin A Palmitate, L-Carnosine, Iris, Mushroom, Aloe Leaf Juice.

The verdict?
I like the products and understand all the fuss about it, after all she wouldn't win awards if it didn't work. I'm curious about trying some more of her products!

Do these products sound interesting to you? Which one would you order?
